I need help

I was playing itunes on saturday on my pismo G3 400 with 9.1 on itand it froze I ran norton disk doctor but nothing doing I vew tried to get disk warrior to work again nothing doing I don't mind reinitalising my disk but this is the second time in less than two weeks now I can't even see any disk I put in the DVD drive (nothing no icons on the screen) so o can't restore or install the original 9.0.2 that came with it

HELP!!!!

this is not my computer so I'll return every 5 minutes to get some replies please help

Use target disk mode and reinstall the OS from another machine.

Thanks that is hold down T while it rebots? (can you do this from USB or is it only firewire?)

Also my HD will not stay mounted what can I do?

today it would not initalise the disk

sorry I can't be more specific with the problem reports my directories seem to be in a bad way what could cause this and how do I fix them even when I reinstalled the OS there were icon problems and preference file problems

Is my restore/install disk screwed as well?
