Why on earth won't Delicious Library let me publish my disc listings DIRECTLY to my FTP sub-domain site WITHOUT forcing the files to be put in a /deliciouslibrary/ path? Don't the folks at DL KNOW about such things as sub-domains? The whole point of a sub-domain is that it allows you to create specific areas on your domain for specific files.
Here's my sub-domain:
http://mydiscs.markshangout.com
I created that with DL but to do it I had to first Publish to a folder and then MANUALLY upload the files into the root directory of my sub-domain. Nice and clean and neat but a PAIN IN THE ASS to have to manually FTP the files up there.
The problem is that DL's Publish to FTP features REQUIRES that it publish to a /deliciouslibrary/ folder!!! That is great if you are publishing to your site without sub-domains. But the whole freaking point of using sub-domains is that you can organize your site by the type of content in the sub-domains and NOT have to end up with an URL that is longer than necessary.
I've tried everything I can think of to try to eliminate the automatic publishing to a /deliciouslibrary/ path (folder). If you delete the path name, DL simply puts it back in when you tab to the next field.
Is anyone aware of a way around this? I want to publish DIRECTLY to my sub-domain with all of the files (index.html, etc) in the ROOT directory of my sub-domain, NOT in a /deliciouslibrary/ folder. Perhaps it's a simply character I put in the path name field?
Also, anyone with experience using DVD Pedia.... will it allow me to publish directly to my sub-domain in the manner I want?
Thanks!
Mark
