hey guys....
i was just wondering--is there a way to get rid of the white background placed around the text underneath desktop icons??

what about a way to make that text white, so it would still be visible?

thanks,
-matt

There's some sort of Japanese extension called OpColour Lite that will allow you to remove the contrasting box around text, change its color, and make the text itelf any color you like. You may want to look at http://www.resexcellence.com or http://www.download.com to try and find it. But I think all the text is in Japanese, and you of course want to text it for extension conflicts.

Or you try try TitleFree, which gives you the option to completely remove the name entirely. It's freeware, at:
