Friend is experincing the following errors trying to connect via dailup.

Remote Access could not be opened because controller could not be found.

When he tries the modem control panel. "The application modem could not be found because controller could not be found.

I have sugguested trashing the remote access and modem preferences. This did not work. Desktop was rebuilt, Still same error messages. Zapped pram still same error messages.

He using OS 9.1 on Power Mac 5500 series, 96 MB ram.
Error messages just started out of the blue. Notthing has been deleted or added to the system. Worked fine last week now it does not work. Please help I don't know what else to suggest other than doing a clean install.

Shouldn't need a clean install - any System Software installation should fix the problem.
