I just had to reinstall OS 9 and I lost everything on my hard drive...including Netscape 7.1. Netscape only has 7.1 for OSX for download...
Does anyone know where I can get Netscape 7.1 for OS9?
Please help...I'm desperate!

I did some digging around Netscape's FTP server and I think this is the last Classic release.

If that is Netscape 7.02, then I believe that is the last update for OS9. Why post a link that starts the download instead of the page that gives you a little information and lets you decide if you want to download it?
If you contact Netscape, they will sell you a disk. I got 7.0 for 10 bucks, but it didn't work. I'm not sure if they will send you 7.02 on disk now or not.

The original poster asked for Netscape 7 Classic, I gave him a link to Netscape 7 Classic You can see from the directory name that it's 7.02.
I guess I could have linked to the Versiontracker page too

Please keep in mind the ambiguously selective general understandings we've all agreed upon...

Mozilla has all the features of Netscape because Netscape 6+ is based off the Mozilla code. Here is the link for the last version of Mozilla that supports below OSX. Mozilla 1.2.1
Enjoy !

Huh? I downloaded 7.02 directly from Netscape earlier this year! So it's gone all of the sudden? BTW: Google search for wamcom and you'll have Mozilla 1.3.1 for os9. Thought I've found Netscape to be a tad more stable, but I haven't really tested it all tha much.

Well, it basically is Mozilla 1.3.1. Why don't you give it a try?

As a note, iCab is a great browser, but does not support CSS.

I made a review of the most popular www browsers:
http://www.cinemafia.net/cory5412/mo...article&sid=19
WaMCom is actually more advanced than Netscape 7. WaMCom is based on Mozilla 1.3, while Netscape is based on Mozilla 1.1. I like them both, and use Netscape 7.1 on my PC.
I agree that iCab is great, but it does not render all pages correctly.
