Did someone develop a fool proof taxation method? It has to involve banning private growers.

Licensing?
Home-brewing isn’t banned, it just has quantity regulations.

Yes, making personal amounts of beer or wine is legal, moonshine nyet. The thing with marijuana is you can grow it anywhere, year round, in or outdoors. Them revenuers want their money, and Ma and Pa Kettle growing weed in a shed ain’t gonna cut it.

Grassley had some tweet as well.
...and Boehner had a tweet a week or two ago saying his thinking on the matter 'evolved' for which I think he should be barred from making any money on marijuana for the rest of his life.

Fifty-one percent of Missourians disapprove of embattled Gov. Eric Greitens' job performance, according to a new poll, and he maintains a 37 percent approval rating.
The survey released Saturday by the Missouri Scout news service showed support for the governor riding along party lines: 57 percent of Republicans approve of the job Greitens is doing while only 12 percent of Democrats approve.
57% of republicans approve of Greitens after all this shit? That polling outfit can't be that far off, can it?

I guess the K is a modifier which means “little”. So “Ivanka” is “little Ivana”.

I think “extortion” is a more apt than “charade”.

The Trump administration is likely to end public access to a web portal used by hundreds of thousands of consumers each year to file complaints against financial companies.
…
“I don’t see anything in here that says I have to run a Yelp for financial services sponsored by the federal government,” Mr. Mulvaney said at a banking industry conference, holding up a copy of the 2010 Dodd-Frank financial law that created the CFPB.
Audience members at the American Bankers Association conference applauded the comment.
The CFPB database has drawn 1.5 million consumer complaints on financial companies and products since its launch in 2011. It includes the names of the companies that receive complaints and detailed consumer experiences.
Advocates say having the information available to the public makes the portal effective by putting pressure on companies to respond to consumers. Businesses say it spreads unverified negative information about them.
Transparency, bad!

Guy gets close to his hearing, shit hits the fan, lots of accusation, White House stands by him. Then Trump says maybe he should withdraw. White House doubles down. Less than 24 hours later he withdraws from the nomination.
The best people.
(Oh and it came out that the WH knew about Porter's spousal abuse since around this time last year)

Add in Ronny himself was too dumb to say no.
I kinda get feeling there was a reason he had this job instead of a command.

I have to admit, I'm enthralledby this Ryan-House chaplain thing, mostly because I find it hard to believe he's this thin-skinned.

Ryan, himself, is Catholic, and the chaplain was only the second Catholic to serve as chaplain. So...yeah..apparently thin-skinned to the thickness of an atom.

And, if I’m getting the background right, isn’t this tantamount to Ryan admitting the tax bill isn’t fair?

I'm enjoying the religion war undertones that some members requested his replacement have a family.
Also this guy was chosen by Boehner.
My main question is if this was really about a speech last year, why wait so long.
My second question is if Ryan is on his way out, why even get involved?

I like the idea of a wisdom bomb to start the day.
Religion is by no means the perfect delivery system, but it’s probably the best we have in this situation.

Fr. Dwight Longenecker lives in SC. That's 8 hour drive down the interstate.
A bigger question is do we even need a House pastor?
Chaplin, not pastor.

These are Congresspeople after all. The amount of confessing they need to do, especially lately, I'd say "yes".

Usually, they’re Episcopalian or Anglican pastors who convert and are accepted as priests.
