I'm using Delicious Library at a small library with about 10,000 items on an iMac G5.
The iMac G5 crashed hard while Delicious Library 1.6.6 was running. This iMac needs a new logic board, so it's basically dead.
Using our Time Machine backup, we restored the whole system to a different iMac G5. When Delicious Library was launched, we got the error of a corrupted file copied to the desktop.
We copied a previous backup of Library Media Data.xml, and Delicious Library started and seemed to work. However, it doesn't seem to Quit -- spinning beach ball for several minutes.
We used Disk Utility and corrected several file problems and we re-installed Delicious Library, but the problem still persists.
Under a different user, we launched Delicious Library with an empty library, and it didn't quit there either.
What should we try next?
I don't think this would help, but is there a way to rebuild our database of items? Exporting the data, deleting the files, and re-importing and re-pulling data from the internet or something?
Thanks for any suggestions... - Duane
