Errors type 2, 3, and 11 are supposed to be related to 68K Mac code problems. In practice, they are pretty generic errors that seem to be caused mostly by low memory allocation.
Select the application (not an alias) and go to the menu File -> Get Info -> Memory. Increase the Preferred Size by about 20%. Also, look at the Suggested Size box. Make sure the Preferred Size is larger than the Suggested Size. Close the dialog when you are done.
The next time that application launches, you will be much less likely to see an error type 2, 3, or 11.
