i just partitioned my drive. i installed os9 into the wrong partition, if i just copy the entire system folder of one partition into another...will the copy of the 0S9 work as the old one formerly did?
in other words...can i transefer system folders around partitions and expect it to work?

It should work with OS9, but not with OSX.
What type of machine are you instaling on? Some older macs will have problems booting from a multi-partitioned disk if the first partiton is bigger than 8GB.

Drag 'n drop away. the only problem you might have is a few broken aliases, and Netscape might need it's user folder redirected, etc.
I've done it quite a few times.

You can use FileBuddy to check for broken aliases. You'll have to reset the location of your custom dictionary in Word and your attachments folder in Eurdora too, if you run either of those programs.
Unfortunately, if you have ATM, it really doesn't like having the harddrive renamed or the System Folder moved to a new partition. I did this once, and it could no longer find all the non-System Folder fonts, so I had to add them all back into the proper categories virtually one-by-one.
