How do I go about deleting something and all the files wth it? If i just drag the icon to the trash bin, does that that do it, or is there another way. ![Confused](http://forums.macnn.com/images/smilies/oldschool/confused.gif)

some programs have a few files scattered throughout. also, sometimes you can use the program's installer to uninstall if it provides that option. but most of the time simply deleting a program/its folder is good enough to rid yourself of all its components.

Ah, the wondrous Mac OS. I enjoy simply dragging a folder to the trash and removing the program with ease rather than running an uninstaller (i.e. with Windows) and trying to decide whether a DLL file that's not in use is safe to delete, or reading the report that the folder has to be deleted manually, etc.
Also, if you drag the folder to the trash and are still worried about some files scattered about on your drive (like fulmer suggested there might be), you don't need to worry about them harming your computer. You might try checking the extensions folder and control panels, and if you see anything that you know for sure came with the program, you could try moving it to the "extensions (disabled)" or "control panels (disabled)" folder. The next time you restart, if everything works fine, you should be safe to trash the files.
