When I replaced my internal drive I partitioned it and in doing so I accidentally split it up to 3 drives instead of 2. However this third drive was only 32 mb and could not mount. I couldnt format it or anything and when my computer booted it would ask me to format it but it wouldnt format!! I didnt repartition it and just disregarded this inconvenience. A few days ago I was using OSX and was exploring the utilities. I opened disk utility and realized that it let me format this drive. I thought what the heck it will be a 32 mb drive but at least it wont bother me every time at startup. So i formatted it and I rebooted into OS9. It booted fine but hung (busy watch) right after it mounted all the drives. I left it alone and after 20 min it still didnt go away. I deleted the Appleshare PDS and there are no servers in my system folder. I booted up with extensions off and with the base set and it still hangs. This leads me to believe that it is not a system software problem but disk drivers or some other issue. What should I do? Any help is appreciated.
Thank you!
DOS Computers manufactured by companies such as IBM, Compaq, Tandy, and millions of others are by far the most popular, with about 70 million machines in use worldwide. Macintosh fans, on the other hand, may note that cockroaches are far more numerous than humans, and that numbers alone do not denote a higher life form. -- New York Times, November 26, 1991
