G4/466/OS9.2.2/iTunes2.0.4

My keyboard's sound control keys(Lower, Higher, Mute) lose their functionality when using iTunes. The graphic which shows on the desktop when any of these keys are clicked does not show when iTunes is open...and their effect on the sound is also altered.

Anyone else have this problem? Any fix?

this info has been posted here numerous times (nothing personal).
when itunes is open, if you want to change the SYSTEM volume as opposed to itunes slider, hold down OPTION & SHIFT, then try the keyboard controls. voila!

That is what I was looking for...sort of...Too bad when Apple comes with a nice program, it always seems to come with some hangups as well.
I guess there's other folks than me that fail to catch every thing posted in every forum...but I'll try to be more attentive. :o
